Q  What choice of car do I have?  Back to list
A  We offer any car that is considered good for driving tuition; this includes favourites such as Corsa, Fiesta, Yaris etc in both petrol and diesel, 3 & 5dr.  If you want a rarer type of car such as a high-spec BMW Mini, we will be happy to quote as part of our Bespoke Service.
Q   What do I need to pay upfront?  Back to list
A  A £250 damage deposit which is refunded at end if the car is returned in good condition.
Q   What would happen if I order a car then decide that I need to cancel before it is delivered to me?   Back to list
A   If you have ordered a brand new car your deposit is at risk if you decide to cancel once we have ordered it from the dealer.  If you have signed up for a car from stock your deposit is at risk if you decide to cancel with 14 days of the anticipated delivery date.
Q   How long can I have a car for?  Back to list
A   We offer rental contracts from 1 week to 18 months but our specialist staff will discuss what term is best for you and offer appropriate advice.
Q   Can I finish my contract early?  Back to list
A  Normally 'No' as all contracts are binding and you are obliged to continue leasing the car as originally agreed but we would assess each case individually.
Q   Do I have to collect or can you deliver to me?  Back to list
A   We deliver and collect vehicles throughout the UK.   Delivery is free to customers who opt for the 12 month minimum term contract.   A nominal delivery charge is made for 6 months minimum term contracts and short term rental customers.   Please note it is the customer's responsibility to return the car at the end of the contract to the ADI Car Rental Office in Oldham but we can collect the car subject to a nominal collection charge.
Q   I'm on a tight budget; what is the cheapest car to rent?  Back to list
A   The cheapest car to rent would be a Vauxhall Corsa 1.0i 12v Life 3dr on a 6 or 12 month contract but we have a full range of cars at different prices.   We buy only brand new cars and keep a vehicle on our fleet for a maximum of two years at which point they are defleeted.
Q   Who pays for when the car needs a service?  Back to list
A   Routine servicing is included within the rental.   When a service is required you take your car to a local dealer and book it in with them.   Then, simply ask them to contact us - before they carry actually out any work - and we will authorise it at our expense.
Q   Insurance; what is required and is this included within the rental price?  Back to list
A   You must have comprehensive insurance which specifically allows driving tuition.  We do not include insurance in our tariff but we would recommend The Driving School Insurance Group -  part of the Waveney Brokers Group of Companies as a good broker to assist in arranging competitive rates.
Q   What happens if I damage my car?  Back to list
A   You are responsible for the good care of your car.   Any damage or shortages must be paid-for and your deposit is at risk if you damage it.
Q   Tyres; what happens if the car gets a puncture or the tyres become worn out?  Back to list
A   We will pay for worn tyres to be replaced (we have a nationwide account with ATS, simply go to your local depot).  Punctures are classed as damage and will have to be paid by you or deducted from your damage deposit.
Q   Road fund tax; who pays for this?  Back to list
A   The cost of your road tax disc is covered by ADI Car Rental.   Tax disc renewal reminders are usually sent to our office and we process these and forward a new disc to your home address.
Q   Can I use the car for pleasure as well as business?  Back to list
A   Yes; use it for private use as well as driving tuition but not for any motor sport or competitions etc.
Q   Would I be okay to take my car abroad?  Back to list
A   You cannot take the vehicle off mainland UK without prior written consent from ADI Car Rental.   Consent is usually given provided you agree to sign a form of Indemnity.
Q   Breakdown cover; what is provided if the car breaks down?  Back to list
A   If you need assistance in the event of a mechanical failure your car will be covered by breakdown assistance, usually AA or RAC.   Their telephone number is inside the car.
Q   What happens when the car is off the road after a breakdown?  Back to list
A   We are the only rental company who can offer you our unique 'Keep-U-Teaching' service.   This provides you with an emergency dual-controlled replacement car within 24 hours in order to keep you mobile and to minimise disruption to your business.  We will always try to replace "like for like", but cannot guarantee this.
Q   What happens if I have an accident or the vehicle is stolen?
A   In the case of accident or vehicle theft you are obliged to notify ADI Car Rental as soon as practicable; you will probably need a replacement car to keep working and we can offer specialist support to provide another car within 24 hours.
